How Long to Rent a Dumpster for a Kitchen Remodel
Most kitchen demolitions fit inside the 7 days included with every rental. Book the 20-yard for demo day, load cabinets, counters and drywall that week, and call for pickup. If demo runs long, each extra day is $25.
Timeline that works
Have the dumpster arrive the day before demo. Tear-out usually takes two to four days. Call for pickup as soon as demo debris is out, then book a second, smaller rental for finish-phase scraps if needed.
Extend or swap?
Extend when the dumpster has room left and you need a few more days: $25 each. Swap when it is full: we pull it and drop an empty one as a new rental with fresh days and tons.
What size dumpster for a kitchen remodel?
A kitchen remodel usually fits a 20-yard dumpster, about 7 to 9 pickup loads with 3 tons included. Stone counters and tile floors add weight quickly, so mention them when you book and keep heavy pieces low in the load.
Specs: 20-yard dumpster. Weight: how dumpster weight is billed.
Can the old fridge go in the dumpster?
An old refrigerator goes in for $50 because its refrigerant must be recovered before disposal under EPA rules. Remove food, tape the doors shut and tell us when you book so the fee is on your quote.
